This is our 1st Christmas without our Dad. In our family the holidays were unorganized, chaotic filled with laughter, love, and the best memories. My dad wasn't a big fan of Christmas. He hated how people would forget the true meaning of Christmas. When we would ask our Dad what he wanted for Christmas he would say I want to be healthy and surrounded by my family. My dad did love Christmas cookies and he wasn't afraid to tell you if they were too dry or just gross (lol).My Dad could always make us laugh and we all have silly stories of things my dad would say that would make us fall over from laughing so hard. I try to remember what my dad would always say, when I am gone, don't be standing around crying and being all sad. Dance, have music playing , laugh and remember all the fun and great memories that we shared together. We miss our Dad so much it hurts, everyday is a struggle to just get by without him. We are so very blessed that God put him in our lives and we will try to honor his wishes...easier said then done Dad.
